On this page you will find music that I have written for video games and films. I am always excited to try my hands on a new project, so if you've got something for me, send an email to leeran@leeranz.com.
48 Hour Film Festival - Sci Fi is a piece I composed and recorded in 15 minutes at the tail end of an intense 48 hour film making process. To those of you not in the know, the 48 Hour Film Festival is a competition in which participants must write, shoot, and edit an entire short film in a period of 48 hours. I composed six different cues at the very last minute of the project, including a vocal song.
In addition, Butterfly Theme was composed and recorded for a live theatrical production in which I had a single night to complete that and 3 other cues. When it comes to working under pressure, I thrive.
Sample Film Work
A Very Little Warrior by Endre Baráth
For Endre Baráth's animation, I composed the score and created the sound effects. I decided to employ traditional orchestral instrumentation which helped create a big sound and humorously contrasted the miniscule warrior.
The Beast by Roland Hess
I was asked to create a jazz score for The Beast, and so I employed a small combo to perform the music. It features Evan Sadler on clarinet, Eytan Nicholson on the drums, and myself on the piano. The other instruments are sampled. I did not create the sound effects for this animation.
